What moves on the Probit & Logit Models diagram
Raising difficulty shifts the logistic midpoint right, cutting pass probability most where the curve is steepest: in the middle of the pack.
The S-curve maps scores to pass probabilities, centred where the odds are 50:50.
The exam gets harder across the board.
The whole S-curve slides right: every score now buys a lower chance of passing.
Middling candidates lose the most; the very strong and very weak barely notice. Effects on S-curves are never one-size-fits-all.
Examiners ask this as: harder exam, pass mark raised, tougher standard, difficulty up.
